History of Porvoo old town:


Porvoo Old TownPorvoo is a medieval city established in the 14th century beside the river Porvoojoki and a medieval fortress. The old town of Porvoo is picturesque and thousands of tourists visit the town each year and stroll along the cobblestoned streets and admire the colourful historical buildings.

 

 

 

Old Town Public House

 

The Old Town Public House was opened in the spring of 2010. There have been many different coffee shops and restaurants located in the same spot since the 1930's. After a quick and thorough rennovation of the existing coffee shop, the pub was transformed into a cosy Irish-styled pub.

 

The Old Town Public House is popular among tourists as well as locals and is open every day except Mondays. It is also the only pub in Porvoo which serves chilled Guinness on draught.
